The Practice

  • Essential Floor Moves
    A collection of six basic stretches that open the joints, loosen the body and encourage proper breathing; facilitating a greater awareness of the mind-body continuum.
  • Fundamental Postures
    Kneeling, squatting and sitting are postures we all knew and practiced daily as children. They relate to Element theory and reflect back to us where we may have organ imbalances and distortion of self-expression.
  • Eight Wrist Stretches
    A set of eight stretches adopted from an Okinawan Goju Ryu warm up set.  These exercises open the wrists, elbows and shoulders, encouraging the fluid transformation of vital energy.

The workshops culminate with the mindful execution of a Sun Salutation (the foundational sequence of all styles of Yoga).
